Soft Bodies is accompanied by Thread, by Lesley-Anne Cao. Initially working with the idea of fashion writing, Thread consists of literary texts that contain references to clothing or beautification rituals, embroidered on raw yardage. In this exhibition, the work poignantly reflects on materiality and visibility with regard not only to women's voices, but to the spaces they are able to occupy.
