ผลงานชิ้นนี้เน้นความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างทัศนียศาสตร์ กับปฏิสัมพันธ์ในพื้นที่สาธารณะ สื่อสารโดยใช้ภาษาภาพแบบเรียบง่าย ผู้สร้างสรรค์ผลงานจำลองภาพบันไดที่ตั้งอยู่ในพื้นที่ที่มีโครงสร้างสถาปัตยกรรมที่หลากหลาย ใช้เชื่อมกับตลาดและห้างสรรพสินค้า ให้เหลือเพียงรูปทรงของหลอดไฟแอลอีดี แสดงความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างโครงสร้างกับที่ว่าง
Focusing on relations between visual aesthetics and interactions in public spaces, this work engages people with art through simple, visual language. Installed in a space that deviates from the functions of its architecture, the storage stair connecting the local market and the department store is reduced to the shape of the LED tubes that inhabit it - revealing the relationship of the structure to the space.
Chalida Asawakanjanakit (b. 1994, Bangkok) graduated with a Diploma in Fine Arts (Visual Arts) from Silpakorn University. She will continue her studies in Berlin in the fall of 2018 as she pursues a degree in Interactive design. Chalida’s work focuses on an interest in light phenomena, relational aesthetics and the interaction between light and human nature. Through the use of various electronic and coding programs Chalida creates interactive light installations primarily in urban public spaces. Chalida is also an active member of the Bangkok art community, joining festivals, workshops and curating exhibitions.
